Staying body positive in today’s society is SO HARD! Am I right ladies?! There’s constant comparison and unrealistic “idols” to look up to.  And in full disclosure, I am continuously struggling with this concept.  Heck, I’m looking at these pictures and thinking, “look at those fat knees and pale skin”.  We all have areas we dislike or struggle with and I kind of feel like those won’t go away for me.  But what can go away is the way I look at them!! God made me in HIS image. He made me the way I’m supposed to be.  I am supposed to respect this body and keep it healthy, but I also need to embrace the body and figure I was given.  I know I’m not the only one that struggles with this and I wanted to share 3 ways to stay body positive:

  1. DON’T COMPARE!  This one is probably the hardest and the one also feel is most important in 2017.  There is imagery everywhere!! Hello, I have a blog and run a few social medias so I’m exposed to it all day, everyday.  It’s hard and I’m not pretending it’s not.  BUT DO YOU!!
  2. Wear clothing that makes you feel good and also flatters you.  This dress does both of those for me.  Like I said earlier, my knees “bother” me and so do my arms.  The sleeve length of this dress is so flattering for me, so is the drop waist.  I’ve gotten pretty good over the last couple of years learning what flatters me and I pretty much stick to it!
  3. Be confident.  I promise, the more confident you are in yourself, the more it will show, and the more others will see it.  Positivity spreads like wildfire.  Start that fire, girl! 😉

Thanks for stopping by y’all!  See ya on Wednesday!

    • Girl, I know what you mean. After having Emily, my body has changed so much! Especially my chest area (the struggle is real!) but just as you mentioned, God made us unique and we have to embrace what we have. You look beautiful! Btw, love the dress.
