The new year is a good time to start fresh, right?  Well this year ((specifically concerning my style)), I am working on having a more minimalistic wardrobe.  Over the last several months I have been “investing” in more classic and basic pieces and styling them multiple ways.  I use the term investing lightly because I hardly EVER spend over the price of $400 on a single item.  Over $100 is a splurge in my budget so I wanted to make that disclaimer so that y’all know the clothing I will sharing should fit in most of your budgets!  BUDGET is the name of the game here on How 2 Wear It!

My favorite outfits in the last year ((here, here, and here)) all have a minimalist feel and were also the outfits y’all responded best to!  It’s my goal to provide inspiration to you with current trends, but also to show you how to get the most out of the clothes you purchase.  You will see items repeated many times throughout this year and I hope it gives y’all lots of ideas on how to style your clothes and accessories!  For example, these jeans ((which you saw A LOT in 2016)) and this tote in today’s post.  2017 will be a year of minimalism!  For both me and the rest of the fashion world.  Also expect to see plunging necklines, STRIPES (my fav already), trench coats, and lots of sneakers.
