What do y’all think?! I have been so excited to share with you the details of my room redesign and hope y’all like the outcome as much as I do! I moved in with my brother about a month ago to a 2 bedroom apartment closer to the city center and closer to work. It was an extremely good decision for so many reasons! I’m saving money, have a shorter commute, and get to live with my brother again! It’s been so fun so far! Seriously 🙂 we are only a year and half apart so living together now kind of takes me back in time to growing up haha.
When we decided to move in and signed for our new place, I knew I wanted to “refresh” my room. My old room was very girly with lots of contrast and somewhat eclectic. Not bad, but just didn’t feel like “me”. This room has a much more mature vibe. Feminine Luxe is what I’m calling it :). As I was planning out this room, I knew I wanted to stick with a tricolor pallet of white, gold, and grey. In my endless searches for luxurious style ((but at an affordable cost!!)) I kept coming back to Target, Wayfair, Homegoods, and PBteen. I know I said earlier that I wanted a more mature vibe, and you wouldn’t automatically think a “teen” centered home decor shop would be the place to start, but think again! Everything from this chair, to this wall art, to this bedding look like it would fit perfectly in a luxe bedroom!
A tip I wanted to mention in regards to designing a room with a limited color pallet, is to get creative with textures! Mixing textures creates dimension and adds interest to the room. For example, my tufted headboard, with the wooden art, and faux fur blanket are all in the same color family but all different textures!
Hope you enjoyed these photos and stay tuned for a post about my vanity and an updated makeup routine!
