Purses ((or pocketbooks as my family likes to call them)) are “my thing”. I change my purse at least twice a month sometimes more. I try my best to coordinate them with the seasons, my outfit, and what is in style. I must do a pretty good job at it because I get quite a lot of compliments on my purses! More than my outfits actually. Haha. Maybe I should be a purse blogger instead of a style blogger? Is that even a thing? 😛 Since I’ve gotten pretty good at the purse selecting skill I thought I would share the knowledge with y’all as a guide for when you are in need of a new purse! Pin the above collage to your Pinterest or Bloglovin’ saved posts and you can reference it when you are in the market for a new bag.
Below is why I suggest each bag and a photo of how I have previously styled it.
Structured satchel — Very professional style! I like mine in a classic color like brown, black, or beige which ups the chic factor.
Summer crossbody — most summer activities include being on-the-go and/or outdoor activities. Crossbody’s are good for this so that you are hands free. I like to go to Vera Bradley for my summer or vacation bags because nothing is cuter to this southern girl than a Vera Bradley paisley print!
Hobo with tassels — TASSELS are IN this year! Let me repeat, TASSELS are ON TREND in 2015! Haha – but for real they are everywhere. From clothes to bags to jewelry to shoes. The list goes on and on. I bought my hobo last year at TJ Maxx for under $40!
Brown & black — this probably goes without saying, but a black and brown bag will be a timeless piece for your wardrobe. I say invest in this bag because black and brown bags are never going out of style. Mark my words.
A pop of color — most of my purses are neutrals but it’s nice to have a bright colored bag to grab when I want to add a little color to a neutral outfit I’m wearing. Kate Spade has the cutest bright and fun bags!
Is anyone else a purse addict like me? I would love to here any purse suggestions if y’all have some! I could always use another to add to the “collection”!
Thanks for stopping by!
