As cliché as it sounds, the weather this time of year just makes me want to curl up in bed, enjoy a glass of wine ((or coffee!)), and watch some Downton Abbey. Side note – that’s one of my favorite shows and it’s coming back on in a month!
This outfit is perfect for so many casual activities like date night at home with your sweetheart, movie night with your girlfriends, or hanging out and wrapping Christmas gifts. It’s constantly on rotation for me during the winter months! I usually don’t turn my heat on in the winter ((Ms. Cheap-o right here :P)) so fleece lined leggings, a thick crewneck sweatshirt, and cozy socks are essential!
Disclaimer – These pictures were taken at my parents’ house a couple of weekends ago. My parents bed is seriously the most comfortable ever and my mom has the best taste in home decor; soooo, I thought their bed would be a better back drop than mine. I also don’t drink red wine but my mom and I thought the beer I was enjoying just didn’t quite fit in the picture like a glass of wine would #bloggerproblems.
Another disclaimer – My goal for my blog is to provide inspiration to women for life’s everyday events. For instance, what to wear for a date night spent at home with your boyfriend/hubby like the post above. That being said, sometimes “props” like coffee cups, wine, chairs, etc are used so that you can get the full picture. Just want to be upfront with that! The “ideal” placement of my “props” are sometimes just there for inspiration and do not always depict ACTUAL real life scenarios. Life isn’t always perfect, remember that! People post what they want you to see 🙂 — Okay, I’ll get off the soapbox now.
And some exciting news to share! My Instagram posts are now shoppable!! Make sure you are following @_how2wearit_ and sign up on shopstyle.it and whenever you like a photo on my Instagram you can receive an email with links to shop what I’m wearing! I’m so excited for this and hope it makes it easier for y’all to shop my outfits!
Have a great Thursday and thanks for stopping by! And I leave you with this outtake ((hahaha)) …
