Hi from the beach y’all!! I’m enjoying my time so much and have neglected the blog and social media a little but I think it’s been worth it. While unintentional, it has allowed me more time with my family and soaking up these fun times! When I was growing up, I used to come to the beach for about a month every summer and spend endless hours in the pool, on the beach, eating ice cream, playing games with the family, etc. It has been a blast this week reliving those days! I am a total beach girl at heart!
In other news, my mom and I went shopping yesterday in Beaufort, NC and found another dress for my blogging conference in Charleston in a couple weekends. I can’t wait to share it with y’all here! But in regards to this outfit, it was great for our mini shopping day! I’m itching for fall weather already ((I know its not even August yet!)) so I compromised with my fall loving heart and my practical brain that realizes its close to 90 outside – and wore a long sleeve and shorts. That combo is actually one of my favorites.
Happy Monday! I’m not usually this chipper on a Monday, but I just arrived at the beach to stay for a whole week so I’m in a VERY good mood. 🙂 I plan to shoot lots of content while I’m here so be excited for what’s coming!
So this might be my new favorite graphic tee! I love that its sweet & sassy! A little like me haha. Do y’all like graphic tees? I think they are especially cute in the upcoming fall season paired with blazers and flare jeans. I’ve linked lots of graphic tee options below if you’re interested.
I know we have all been shopping the #NSale like crazy, but I wanted to wrap up my sale posts today with what’s still available. The sale opened to the public today, so whether you have a Nordstrom card or not – get to shopping!! Stuff is selling out fast! Grab your morning coffee and GO!
Fabletics and the Charlotte Agenda reached out to me recently letting me know Fabletics would be opening a store in my local Charlotte mall, SouthPark. I was extremely excited to here this because I live less than 5 minutes from this mall! They were hosting a preview event and invited me to come. I immediately responded YES! While I’m not the biggest fan of working out, I do love cute active and lounge wear!! I had so much fun with my blogger bestie, Annaliese, at the event ((recapped here)). We scored some awesome deals and were also each given a $100 giftcard to give away to a lucky reader! The contest ran in my recap post, and I’m excited to announce our winner …… JEN WEATMAN!!!! Please email me within 48 hours at email@example.com to claim your prize!
So now on to the super cute outfit I got! I’m going to be very honest here and say, I do not work out. Like ever. Terrible, I know! But I am a HUGE fan of athleisure. See examples here, here, and here. I love an outfit that can take me from working out, to dinner or drinks with my friends. The outfit I chose to share with y’all is a perfect example of that. How cool is the back of this top?! Even though its long-sleeved the whole back is open and the fabric is light making it very breathable. The whole time taking these photos I did not get hot. I’m thinking I will pack it for my upcoming trip to Charleston!
Friends in the Charlotte area, this Saturday is FABLETICS GRAND OPENING at SouthPark mall!! They’ll have champagne, discounts off purchases and a performance by an acro yoga artist! I hope you decide to attend because you will not be disappointed with their merchandise!
Thanks for stopping by!
Thank you to Fabletics and Charlotte Agenda for sponsoring this post. And thank you reader’s for supporting the brands that support this blog!
Is there anything more classic than white and navy in the summer? The answer is no, no there is not. 🙂
Tank: Michael Kors via TJ Maxx ((almost identical Michael Kors version here)) // Skirt: Gap – old ((similar)) // Shoes: TJ Maxx ((similar)) // Earrings: Kendra Scott // Watch: Kate Spade – old ((similar)) // Spike bracelet: Baublebar ((only available in silver now))
Summer is when I have the hardest time keeping my work wardrobe from getting to casual. All the bright colors, tassels, pom poms, and “distressed” clothing that is released in the summer months is SO tempting but not appropriate for the office. In my opinion. I have found that if I shop within the navy, white, blush pink, red, and black color families, my outfit for 9-5 will come out classic every time!
What about you? Do you find it hard to find pieces for your work wardrobe in the summer?
