The reason I own so many is because they are truly great pieces to have in your closet! Pair well with literally everything and give a polished look to an outfit. The one from today’s post for instance is an old favorite and I can’t bring myself to toss it. Last year I bought a similar top to “replace” this one, but who was I kidding?! I like to make new friends, but keep the old. One is silver, the other is gold! 😉
On a completely different note, this is my last post before debuting my new hair! I didn’t cut any length off ((I’m working on growing it out at least another 6 inches)) but I did get balayage done! I love it, but I must say its taking some getting used to. I’m so used to my dark, monotone locks that the blonde we added in is shocking me. But y’all will see it soon!
No one loves a cute handbag more than I do. And I would also dare say, no one loves finding a great dupe for a designer product more than I do. Which is lucky for you, because when I find these fabulous dupe’s, I want to share them! The Emperia ‘Small Carlie’ that looks almost exactly like the Fendi ‘Petite 2jours’ bag is currently on its way to me! Be on the lookout for it in future posts!
Have y’all found any good dupes lately? If so, leave links to them in the comments below! I would love to check them out!
There is nothing better to me than an easy ((but cute!)) outfit to throw on in the summer! I don’t like a lot of fuss with my outfit in the warm months so I typically reach for dresses or shorts and tanks. I also usually only add one statement piece of jewelry, in this case the Kendra Scott Rayne necklace, and call it a day. This dress was only $7 when I scooped it up! Apparently, lots of others did too 🙁 but it’s still available in black or red for under $20 plus 40% if you spend $55 and up! I know it makes some nervous to order from an overseas site but read my full review on my online shopping experience with them here.
I don’t know about you, but in the summer I get so excited for light make-up, spray tans, “mermaid hair” with beach waves, and a good pair of flip flops. #itsthesmallthings. Luckily this year I have that “mermaid hair” I’ve been dreaming of for a few years now with the help of Irresistible Me hair extensions. Around 10 years ago I cut off about a foot of hair and kept it short ever since. About a year and half ago I started the process of cleaning up my cut and growing it back out. It’s come a long way but I still wanted to some “oomph” this summer to get that true “mermaid hair” look. You can see my full review here on the extensions but I wanted to write a follow-up post about them to let you know that after having them around a month, I’m still in love! They curl beautifully, store well, blend with my hair nicely, and give my hair that extra volume I was looking for!
Have you ever thought about getting extensions? If so, I highly recommend these! And if you’re still on the fence, watch my review here and I think you might have a change of heart 🙂
Off the shoulder is HUGE this year! Last year it was a trend train to hop on as well but really built up steam this year. Pun intended 😉 I’m a classic everyday glam girl myself who loves trying out trends only when I feel like they fit into my style mold. It’s good to challenge your wardrobe sometimes otherwise you won’t grow stylistically but, I also feel its important to stay true to YOU. Off the shoulder tops are typically too bohemian for my taste and therefore I never tried them out. I was recently on the J.Crew Factory site though purchasing this necklace and spotted this top in the “suggestions” bar before checking out. I was immediately drawn to the blue and white summery pattern and the ruffle. Both details fitting of a classic everyday kind of girl like myself! At under $30 it was a no-brainer over whether to purchase or not. I’m glad I did because this top will be perfect for the 3 beach trips I will be taking this summer!
And minor side note – sorry for the cloudiness in some of these photos! We shot by a fountain and when the wind picked up the water was misting everywhere. I actually think it gives the photos a fun nautical feel but apologize for slight blurriness!
Have you hopped on the ‘over the shoulder’ trend train yet?!
